The Allen Appel of the New Haven Independent reviewed the show in Friedan & The Next Wave Inspire ‘Fem//me.’  He interviewed Grace Moskowitz, curators Selby Nimrod, & Hannah Plotke talking about the them of the curation and aspects of the artists work in the show.  Here

“Video artist Lani Asuncion does not have video in the show. But in her “3 Sisters: Lost Myth (3 Sister Hoods)” she shows artifacts or props used in her videos. These grey wool blankets seemed to have casts of some prehistoric animal’s teeth cozily folded up inside them, as if comfort and dread were somehow in balance or alignment.”

It was good to hear someone else’s perspective of the work and I love that its compared to ‘animals teeth.’

I am glad to be associated with other feminist artists in the area, and I am looking forward to continuing to show in New Haven and hope to get feedback on future shows.
